Reviews and Ratings
We spent a lovely weekend at this North Shore resort. The location is perfect for exploring Lake Superior, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot to unwind. However, be sure to book a lakeside room to truly enjoy the water views, and keep in mind that the dining could be better organized and faster.
While the hotel has breathtaking views and a cozy environment, the service could use improvement, especially during busy check-in and check-out times. The rooms are well cared for, and dining options provided some delicious meals, but some aspects like noise insulation and bed comfort were lacking. Overall, it has great potential but needs some adjustments to enhance the guest experience.
I recently had a fantastic long weekend at Larsmont, where I enjoyed ice fishing right from the cottage. The lodge is well-maintained, with great amenities like snowshoe rentals and an outdoor hot tub perfect for winter. The restaurant serves delicious food and the staff is incredibly helpful. One downside was that some rooms don't have the views you'd expect, so if that's important, make sure to ask. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and I can't wait to come back!
We just spent a fantastic weekend at this beautiful resort on the North Shore. The well-maintained grounds and cozy atmosphere made for a perfect getaway. Just a heads up, if you really want to be on the water, opt for a LAKESIDE room rather than a lakeview one. Also, we found out we missed out on a 2-for-3 night special by not booking directly, which made our final bill a bit higher than expected. The dining experience was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor hot tub after a day of snowshoeing at Gooseberry Falls.
This resort is a hidden gem, perfect for those looking to escape the chaos of life with its serene atmosphere and stunning views. My overall stay was awesome with clean, comfortable accommodations and a wonderful staff. However, getting the reservation sorted out was a bit nerve-wracking initially, and the decor could use some updates to reach its full potential.
